Monkey Puzzle by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

When a baby monkey declares he has lost his mum a friendly butterfly swoops in to offer comfort and a helping hand to find her. Following a series of clues given by the monkey, the pair set off through the jungle in search of her. The well-intentioned butterfly repeatedly presents the wrong creature as the monkey’s mum while introducing young readers to a whole host of colourful jungle-dwellers. Eventually the baby monkey finds its way into the open arms of mum. Bright illustrations support the lovely lyrical rhyming verse that makes this a delight to share.
