Sugarlump and the Unicorn by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks

This is a lovely original story for horse lovers everywhere. Sugarlump starts off life as a rocking horse but when his childhood owners are out at school all day, Sugarlump dreams of another fuller life. Cue a blue-eyed unicorn who makes Sugarlump’s wishes come true. Each life the horse wishes for begins well only to make Sugarlump sad in the end. Then one day the unicorn grants a wish which finally makes the horse happy. A fairy tale-style story with lovely colourful illustrations and repetitive verse to enjoy again and again.
