Matilda’s cat is rather put upon by its over-enthusiastic owner who is determined to engage her cat in imaginative game playing. While Matilda is oblivious to her cat’s true feelings, the reader is privy to the fact that Matilda’s cat is far from enjoying itself! Simple language, lovely illustrations and a tongue-in-cheek-humour as the cat takes back control of things at the end.
