Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell

A nameless first-person narrator writes to a zoo to request a pet, and over the course of the book, receives different animals for consideration. Each animal is deemed unsuitable for various reasons and rejected until finally the zoo sends a perfect pet puppy. A toddler tale that little ears and eyes will love exploring as they learn about animals, possibly for the first time. It’s also a good choice if you’ve visited a zoo with your little one to aid familiarity and recognition. An enduring popular ’80s classic not to be missed.
