Mrs Pepperpot at the Bazaar by Alf PrØsen and Hilda Offen

30/10/2019Lollipop Library

A trio of snooty ladies ask Mrs Pepperpot to submit a raffle prize for the school’s bazaar but when her back is turned, they cruelly ridicule her offer of ginger biscuits. Oblivious to the rebuke, Mrs Pepperpot sets to work baking, only to suddenly shrink to the size of a doll while doing so! She is determined to make good on her promise to provide a raffle prize so she asks her friend Hannah to dress her up as a pretend clockwork doll. Everyone at the bazaar is enchanted by the ‘doll’ including the three snooty ladies who are now seated at the judges’ table. When Mrs Pepperpot hears them mock her offer of ginger biscuits, she exacts a sweet revenge… An enchanting magical story firmly planted in the classics catalogue.

      Hi

Many thanks for getting in touch. I’m delighted to hear you’re enjoying my blog 🙂 I’m not currently on Twitter but hope to be in the not too distant future! Most of the picture books I review come from my local public library so when it re-opens I’ll be sharing my best books again 🙂

      Best wishes
